The Gottman Method

Feedback & Treatment Plan

We share our findings and present a personalized treatment plan. This is a collaborative conversation where we discuss goals, timeline, and what you can expect from the therapeutic process.

Step 4

Ongoing Therapy

Weekly or biweekly sessions -- in-person at our Abilene office or via secure telehealth across Texas. Sessions build on your treatment plan and include practical exercises and skill-building to create lasting change.

Frequently Asked Questions

The length varies depending on the complexity of the issues and your goals. Most couples begin to see meaningful progress within 8 to 20 sessions. Some couples continue with less frequent maintenance sessions afterward.

Session fees depend on the type and length of session. We offer a sliding scale for clients who demonstrate financial need. We also provide superbills for potential out-of-network insurance reimbursement.

We are currently an out-of-network provider. We provide superbills after each session that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many PPO plans reimburse 50-80% of session costs.

It is common for one partner to be hesitant. You can begin with individual therapy focused on your experience within the relationship. Often, when one partner begins making positive changes, the other becomes more open to joining.

Yes. We offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for couples therapy, available to anyone located in the state of Texas. Research shows online couples therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy.
